Hi Readers, this time i'm going to take another level of challenge, to make another types of Butter Cake. This time involve beating egg whites till very stiff peak.
And it was also my very first time of baking this Mrs Ng SKVanilla Butter cake. Seems like every bakers have already done this one, only me haven't.. LOL...
So when i was browsing through the website, i bump into this recipe. And after i had
read through all the ingredients and recipes, i think i can take up the challenge.
So the first step would be normally cream the sugars with the Salted Butter...
And then we put aside this after butter and sugar mixed well.
And so this is the most important steps of all the process. It was the separation egg white with the yolk. You need to be very extra careful during separate this egg white, if there is egg yolk accidently fell to the egg white, quickly use the spoon to take it out.. It should be no egg yolk stay in the egg white, otherwise the beating process of egg white will be failed.
And you must use Stainless Steel Bowl to beat egg whites in order to make it successful. This tips, i learn from Mr Google.. Hehehee...
After not more than 5 minutes, it will already become like this, and so this is the soft peak that we would like to archieve.
And when we put the bowl upside down, the egg white after beaten mix one will not fall down. This we call successful.. ^ ^
And then we fold 1/3 of the egg whites to just now we had mix bowl of butter+sugar.
Oh god..this steps seems like the final, and trust me it was very very easy. You mus try this!
Just use the spatula and fold it gently. No need to fold with using beater. And then is ready to bake now.
Tadaa..... I sat in front of the oven for almost 45 mins checking out the progress, when there is slightly brown to burn, i quickly adjust the temp. level to 150c. This is ok.
Somehow there is still crack found in the middle of the cake. But is ok la, as long as it taste good.
After cut into pieces, is ready to be serve now.. and is the best companion serve with tea during weekends... Aarrgghh.. Life can be just simple happily like this.
So please try everyone! Happy Baking
